Getting in the water! A l'eau !

After almost 2 weeks at the dock in Fort Louis, it was more than time to go to anchor and
 1) Save some money on marina bills
 2) Get away from bareboat charter catamarans attracted to our hull
 3) Get away from the dozens of tourists taking pictures in front of the boat daily
 4) Be able to do yoga on deck without hearing "Namaste" from every person passing by
 5) Get in the water more often!

Apres pres de 2 semaines passees a la marina, il etait grand temps de quitter le quai pour aller jeter l'ancre dans la baie, et en profiter pour :
 1) Ne pas payer la marina
 2) S'eloigner des catamarans de charter sans skipper un peu trop attires par notre coque
 3) S'eloigner des dizaines de touristes qui se prennennt en photo chaque jour devant le bateau
 4) Faire mon yoga sur le pont sans entendre "Namaste" de la part de chaque passant
 5) Passer plus de temps dans l'eau !

Most of the week end was spent in, on and near the water: taking the dinghy to Grand Case to snorkel on Creole Rock, swimming laps around the boat, sipping a cold drink on the beach in Orient Bay and experimenting reverse trapeze on a hobbie cat...

Nous avons passe le week-end dans l'eau, sur l'eau et au bord de l'eau (essayez de ne pas etre trop jaloux des photos...) : natation autour du bateau, apnee a Creole Rock dans la baie de Grand Case, cocktail sur la plage a Orient Bay et tentative de trapeze inverse sur un hobbie cat...

We are slowly getting ready to leave the Caribbean for New England, planning the passage and working on a lot of small or big projects on the boat. We should be leaving St Martin next week and sail to Antigua to get some important work done on our mast. From there we might island-hop to pick up our delivery crew, and then head North for the Summer around mid-May...

Nous nous preparons doucement au depart pour la Nouvelle-Angleterre, en planifiant la traversee et en terminant tout un tas de projets plus ou moins importants sur le bateau. Nous devrions quitter St Martin la semaine prochaine pour Antigua, ou des travaux importants doivent etre faits sur le mat. Ensuite nous irons chercher notre equipage sur les iles voisines avant de mettre les voiles pour le nord vers la mi-mai...
