After a few weeks of very hard work, our favorite yacht can now take some down time at the dock in St Martin, since at the moment we don't have any charter booked. Last time you heard from us we were getting ready for a charter in Antigua. Without getting into boring details, let's say that we had a major rigging catastrophe just days before the charter started. Yet my super-hero of a captain worked night and day and managed to find a solution that could get us through the charter.
Those 8 days of charter from Antigua to St Martin, via Montserrat, Nevis, Saba and St Barts were undoubtedly the most demanding we had done so far, with a family of 6 on board, including the parents and 4 daughters! The trip went very well though, and gave us an opportunity to explore islands we don't often go to. We arrived in St Martin exhausted but happy, and are now enjoying some more relaxed time as we don't have any urgent deadline looming. It almost feels like we have a normal life again: working hours from 8 to 5, time to prepare healthy lunches, time to cook at night - Bill treated me to a great fish creation last night! - and even time to see our friends and prepare them some nice food!
You will find below and in the next post some pictures I have taken over the past few weeks, especially some I took with the new Canon lens I just bought for my camera...
